While taking Vioxx i had a severe case of pancreatitis wit a 10 cm pseudocyst of the pancreas requiring surgery to attach the cyst to my stomach to drain, I still am sick at times. I also had a blocked LAD, left anterior descending coronary artery during this time requiring correction by stenting, all other coronary arteries were clear. The drug ran my blood pressure up to 180 over 100. I quit taking vioxx in 2002. Started taking it in 1998. I have become weakened by these events until i was required to quit my job of 16 years due to the fact that i was unable to perform my duties due to loss of energy and vitality. At this time i am on social security and am looking for an easier job. I feel that i am entitled to benefits due to the fact that the stent to the coronary vessel endangered my life, i was forced to give up a job that i loved causing loss of wages of 32.34 per hour. This is a substantial loss. If i find a job i am able to do it will not pay more than 20.00 per hour i imagine. also my children are entitled to damages for pain and suffering due to being called to my bedside with the news that i was suffering a heart attack, i remained unconscious for 7 days with my 2 children expecting me to expire. luckily i survived after an 8 week illness, a stent to the LAD, and the surgery to the pancreas.
